Gemma Walsh is the founder and Editor in Chief of The Social Pages.

The WAAPA graduate and former model began her media career at Nova93.7 and worked for many years in radio stations across Australia, including as part of the on-air team at Today Network’s 101.9 The Fox in Melbourne.

Returning home to Perth, Gemma established herself as the premier socials reporter with The Sunday Times’ STM Magazine, writing about the most coveted events in Perth.
But with the rapid rise of social media and the decline of print news, Gemma decided to establish Australia’s first dedicated online social pages, TheSocialPages.com

About The Social Pages

Launched in 2014, The Social Pages is a cult website with a dedicated following from thousands of Perth’s socialites, artists, designers and social media gurus.

We cover the best events in town, providing stunning galleries of the guests who attend exclusive invite-only soirées to major public events.

And we love social media, with thousands of interactive followers across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

This is professional people watching…with style.

FAQ

So how does this work?

The Social Pages works in the exact same way as newspaper event coverage.
Just send the details of your event to [email protected] and we will RSVP if we are able to attend.

Editor in Chief, Gemma Walsh will then attend your event and will write a copy to go with photos which are taken by either The Social Pages photographer or Gemma herself. For seated events (such as a fashion parades or dinners) please confirm on RSVP that a seat will be provided for our Editor.

Media Passes can also be used if you just require basic coverage from our photographer.

If the event cannot be attended by The Social Pages and you have employed the services of a professional photographer to cover your event – just send through the files and we will be happy to put them up.

Does it cost anything?

The Social Pages is an in-demand service, so $300 secures 'Guaranteed Coverage' with some extra social media promotion. Otherwise each week we assess the top events for general coverage.

Do you offer paid advertising, promotion or sponsorship?

Yes. Let's talk.

Advertising or sponsored content on The Social Pages.com starts from $150 and can include exclusive event coverage, videos, website articles & galleries and social media posts.

All advertisers and artwork are subject to the editor’s approval.

I’m organising a charity event, do we have to offer a seat for the event to be covered?

No.

We know how hard it is to raise money for a good cause. If you would like your charity’s ball or dinner covered, all you need to do is provide a media pass.
This means our photographer is allowed in the venue or on the red carpet to snap the arrivals but does not take away a valuable seat for the charity.

Is this a blog?

Not really.
The Social Pages is recognised as a professional media entity. It showcases coverage of topical news and events in Perth and adheres to ACMA guidelines.
But it looks pretty cool, with many of the same elements used in street style galleries and fashion blogs.
