Stylists; Not Just For Celebs

The secret's out... Stylists are not just for celebrities anymore!

Career Stylists are becoming more common these days; with many working on editorials, advertising campaigns and helping celebs get red carpet ready. But more and more Stylist are also working with us (everyday folk) edit our wardrobes, find our personal style and make sure we have a killer combo of clothes that work for our busy lives.

So whether you're a new mum, #GirlBoss or you just want to look on point every time you step out the front door, a personal Stylist can help.

Lauren Di Bartolo founder of Australian Style Institute says while a lot of Stylists go into work for magazines or advertising, many are now choosing to work with non-celebrities.

“It’s a high-growth area within our industry and the demand for personal stylists is larger than ever,” she said.

"When you style a client for the first time, maybe they're a new mum or had significant weight loss, you see them light-up.

"With the right style and fit, a person's confidence can soar and that makes our job really special," Lauren Di Bartolo said.

But if the thought of letting a total stranger go through your wardrobe or help you in a dressing room seems strange, we're assured it's all in a day's work.

"Being styled may seem unfamiliar at first but a Stylist will make you feel comfortable in no time.

"Our style is our identity. So for that reason do your research… Find someone you can connect with, who has professional qualifications and genuinely cares about helping you look and feel your best.”

If you think a career in Styling is for you, Lauren Di Bartolo and the Australian Style Institute team are heading over to Perth for a 2-day workshop!
